NOTICE OF INTENT TO RESCIND CURRENT SUPERINTENDENT CONTRACT, ENTER INTO A SHARED SERVICES SUPERINTENDENT EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT WITH LOWER ALLOWAYS CREEK TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION, AND HOLD PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:11-11, N.J.S.A. 18A:13-40, N.J.S.A. 40A:65-1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-3.1, the Pittsgrove Township Board of Education hereby gives notice of its intention to:
- Rescind the existing employment contract with its Superintendent of Schools, Yvette DuBois Trembley, prior to its expiration date; and
- Enter into a new Shared Superintendent Employment Agreement with Yvette DuBois Trembley and the Lower Alloways Creek Township Board of Education to serve as the Shared Superintendent of Schools for both school districts for the term period not less than three nor more than five years.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:17-24.1 the proposed shared Superintendent services plan between Pittsgrove Township School District and Lower Alloways Creek School District has received the New Jersey Commissioner of Education’s approval.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed Shared Superintendent Employment Agreement has been submitted to the Executive County Superintendent of Schools for Salem County for review and approval pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-3.1, and any formal action by the Board to approve and execute the proposed agreement shall be subject to receipt of such approval.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing on the contract rescission and proposed shared superintendent agreement will be held during the regular meeting of the Pittsgrove Township Board of Education on:
- Date: September 16th, 2026
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Location: Arthur P. Schalick High School Media Center, 718 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove, NJ 08318
Members of the public are invited to attend and will be provided an opportunity to present comments and questions to the Board regarding the terms, salary allocation, and structure of the proposed shared superintendent contract prior to formal action being taken.
Copies of the proposed shared employment contract detailing total compensation, cost-sharing proportion between Pittsgrove Township and Lower Alloways Creek Township, benefits, and term length will be available for public inspection at the Board of Education Office during regular business hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) beginning on September 1st, 2026 and on the district website at www.pittsgrove.net.
