Transportation

The resident district is responsible for the transportation of all eligible choice students and is not guaranteed. To be eligible for transportation services, a student must live within 20 miles of the school. If the cost of transportation will exceed the maximum amount designated in the annual NJ State budget, the parent/guardian will be given aid in lieu of transportation and, in some cases, the option of receiving the transportation and paying the additional amount over the maximum. By Aug. 1, parents should receive notification of their transportation options from the resident district. For more information, read the Transportation Procedures for choice students

What are the odds of your child being accepted into our School Choice Program?

Each year, the Pittsgrove Township School District receives more applications than there are seats available.  For the 2022-2023 school year, the State of New Jersey has once again capped our School Choice enrollment.  Please review our District School Choice Profile for information about this year's acceptance procedures.

Interested in attending Pittsgrove Township Schools?

The Pittsgrove Township School District offers an outstanding educational and social experience for children. Highly-qualified teachers, dynamic classroom instruction, and robust curricular and extra-curricular programs make Pittsgrove an excellent choice for the education of children.

Please review the information that is posted on this website and on the NJ Department of Education website at:http://www.nj.gov/education/choice/.  For example, there are limitations on students from other districts who can participate in the School Choice Program.

Applicants must:

a) live within 20 miles of Pittsgrove

b) be chosen by lottery if the amount of interested students exceeds the amount of openings that we offer.  Please see our District School Choice Profile for additional information.

In addition, please note that there are two distinct application timelines for students who currently attend public or private school.  After reviewing all of the School Choice information, the next step to take in the application process is to contact your home district by November 30, 2022 with a Notice of Intent to Participate form.

Public and private school parents who are interested in School Choice should apply to Pittsgrove by November 30, 2022 using the Student Application form.

Those steps begin the process of participating in School Choice.  We will contact applicants with further information after we receive all of the required paperwork by November 30, 2022.

Please contact the Curriculum & Instruction Office with any questions about the School Choice Program or if you would like to arrange for a tour of our schools.  You can reach the Curriculum & Instruction Office at (856) 358-3094, ext. 4013 or email Sherry Willis at [email protected].
